Shuttlesfield Barn is a reconstructed former agricultural barn on our four acre smallholding, Little Shuttlesfield Farm, where we raise Jacob sheep and keep a horse, chickens, dogs, a cat, ferrets and other occasional guests.

We are situated in the countryside, along narrow roads and two miles from shops and bus routes.  Lying above the Elham Valley at its southern end, we are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on walking, cycling and horse-riding routes. 

From here you have easy access to many attractions in Kent including Dover Castle, Canterbury Cathedral and several National Trust and English Heritage sites.  There are sand and shingle beaches nearby  (20-40 minutes drive) and the spectacular White Cliffs of Dover. It’s also easy to ‘go across’ to France by Eurostar (20 mins drive to Ashford), by the channel tunnel shuttle (10 mins drive to Cheriton) or, more leisurely, by ferry from the port of Dover (25 mins).

Shuttlesfield Barn is ideal for a holiday where you can also bring your own animals and horse(s) if desired. The private terrace offers a quiet spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings, perhaps using the barbeque after a refreshing dip in the pool. This is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful countryside of Kent or experiencing some of the many local attractions and activities, or just taking time to unwind.

The Barn is suitable for disabled access (M1 & M2 grading), ramped access, no steps, accommodation all on the ground floor, wide doors and en-suite wetroom.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The barn contains two double (or twin) bedrooms with en-suite showers (one a wet room).  The sitting room/kitchen/dining area is furnished to a high standard.

 

Ample parking in the drive next to the barn.

 

Secure storage for bicycles.  Facilities for drying wet weather gear.

 

We welcome pets and horses.
